Easter bakes that’ll wow your lunch guests

Can we let you into a secret? Easter is probably our favourite holiday of the year.

Yes, Christmas has presents and Santa, but we just adore the food at Easter time. Fresh produce, roast lamb, chocolate eggs – we can’t get enough of it!

So, with Easter weekend just around the corner, we thought we would share our favourite Easter cakes. We’ll bet you our last egg that you’ll feel hungry by the time you’ve finished reading!

Easter Nest Cake | BBC Good Food

Easter isn’t really Easter without a chocolate nest cake, and this show stopper certainly puts our efforts to shame.  The two-layered chocolate cake comes complete with a pretzel nest that is packed with Cadbury’s Mini Eggs and Crème Eggs.  Nom nom nom.

Rainbow cake | The Gunny Sack

If you have young kids (or are just a kid at heart), this bright and cheerful spring layer cake is perfect. Colourful, fun and, most importantly, delicious. We wouldn’t be able to stop at one slice!

Carrot cupcakes | All Recipes

If you prefer the humble muffin rather than a show stopper, we highly recommend these carrot cupcakes with white chocolate cream icing. Moist and not too sweet, these yummy cakes can be baked in less than an hour. We like the sound of that!
