Hundreds flock to trade show

The UK’s fastest-growing convenience store chain hosted its annual trade show in October.

Central Convenience Stores drew hundreds of visitors to its event at Bournemouth International Centre.

Suppliers had a chance to meet with store owners and discuss the latest innovations, while new franchisees also had the opportunity to quiz store owners about their success stories.

Among those exhibiting at the event were well-known brands Coca Cola, Mars Confectionery, Walkers Crisps and Country Choice together with local suppliers including New Forest Ice Cream and Hunts Food service. In total there were more than 80 stands to visit and an estimated 400 visitors.

Central’s franchise manager, Kalvin Beaulah, said: “We’ve been delighted with the results of this year’s trade show. Our aim is always to put convenience store owners face-to-face with some of the biggest brands and suppliers in the UK and last week’s event did just that.

“There are some exciting innovations going on in the food and beverage sector and we’re glad that our store owners are at the forefront.”

Central Convenience Stores operates in the south and south west and currently has more than 120 managed and franchised stores. On average it opens one new store every week.
