First annual trade show a hit
Our first ever Central Convenience Stores trade show has proven a hit, attracting more than 400 visitors.
The event, held at The Hilton at the Ageas Bowl, brought together suppliers, store managers, franchisees and our central team for a day of knowledge sharing.
Among the big name brands in attendance were Country Choice, Coca Cola, McVities and BAT. In total there were more than 70 stands to visit, featuring everything from crisps and biscuits to slushie machines and ATMs.
One of the highlights of the event was the chance for visitors to lift the Carabao Cup, which was recently won by Manchester United. Formerly known as the EFL Cup, the league is now sponsored by Central Convenience Stores supplier Carabao. The energy drink firm brought the cup along to the trade show, giving visitors the unique opportunity to get their hands on the sporting memorabilia.
Tony Start, commercial director, said: “We’ve had fantastic feedback from visitors to our first ever trade show and we’re already planning some exciting ideas for 2018. As the fastest growing independent convenience store chain, it’s important for us bring our suppliers and store owners face-to-face to discuss the latest innovations. The better we work with our networks, the better service we can provide for our customers.”
