It’s a knockout!

Staff from Central Convenience Stores embraced their silly side as they took part in a game of It’s A Knockout last week.

Store and area managers, along with head office staff, headed to the New Forest for a day of fun based on the popular TV show.

Around 80 people donned oversized costumes as they took part in a series of challenges across inflatable obstacles courses. Just like the TV version, the live It’s A Knockout Challenge, contestants had to work in teams to win challenges that put their communication and physical skills to the test.

Among the feats the eight teams had to complete were the ‘Pizza Run’, where they had to deliver a giant inflatable pizza on stilts through an obstacle course, and ‘Bangers and Crash’, which saw them race inflatable sausages.

The It’s A Knockout challenge was part of the annual managers’ conference, which brings together managers from across the South to discuss the business and future growth.

Sarah White, chilled food buyer at Central Convenience Stores, said: “It was such a great day and so much fun. With nearly 100 stores across the south of England, it’s not often we’re all together in one place so it was a brilliant opportunity to come together and have fun as well as talk business.”

The day was sponsored by energy drink brand Carabao, which is currently working with Central on a series of special promotions.
