Time for some festive fundraising as we dig out our woollies for charity

We’re getting particularly festive at the Whitenap Central Convenience Store – all in aid of charity. Our team will be dressing up from December 12th to 16th to support Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day – and we’ll be encouraging our customers to do the same.

“People up and down the UK will be sticking on super-silly festive knits for the day, and we thought it only right to join them and expand the fun over a whole week,” says the store’s Karen Malt. “We don’t really need an excuse to get into the festive spirit – but this is a particularly good one.

“It’s already beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Whitenap but we’ll be stepping it up a notch in the name of charity. Like others across the country, we’ll each be donating £2 for the privilege, and it would be wonderful if our customers could join in the fun and help us raise some much-needed funds for this very worthy cause.

“There’s serious side to all this silliness. We know the more money is collected on #ChristmasJumperDay, the more lives we’ll all be helping to save. And what better reason to look like a reindeer, an elf or a Christmas pudding?”
