Mojito

Ingredients

  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • small handful mint leaves, plus extra sprig to serve
  • 60ml white rum
  • soda water, to taste

How to mix

  • Muddle the Julie of 1 Lime, 1 tsp sugar and handful of mint leaves in a small jug, crushing the mint as you go – you can use the end of a rolling pin for this. Pour into a tall glass and add a handful of ice.
  • Pour over the 60ml rum, stirring with a long-handled spoon. Top up with soda water, garnish with mint and serve.

Wicked Whisky Sour

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoons simple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 145ml whisky
  • 1 cupful ice cubes
  • 3 cocktail cherries for garnish

How to mix

  • Combine the simple 2 tbsp syrup, 4 tbsp lemon juice and 145ml Jameson whisky in a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice. Cover and shake for about 30 seconds, until the shaker is frosty. Strain into martini glasses and garnish with a cocktail cherry.

This can also be served in tumblers full of ice.


Gin Fizz

Ingredients

  • 50ml gin
  • 25ml lemon juice
  • 2 tsp sugar syrup
  • ice
  • sparkling water
  • lemon slice

How to mix

  • Pour 50ml gin, 25ml lemon juice and 2 tsp sugar syrup in a cocktail shaker and fill up with ice cubes.
  • Shake well until the outside of the shaker feels cold then strain into a tall glass filled with more ice and top up with sparkling water. Garnish with a lemon slice.
